In the petition, the stand was adopted that the woman is disabled, she uses a wheelchair for mobility, the petitioner woman booked a ticket from Lahore to Karachi with a private airline company, she faced severe discrimination from the private airline company. , the company denied boarding in the absence of an attendant, the petition said that there was no information in this regard even on the website of the private airline company, insisting on the presence of an attendant. The flight was missed.

According to the request, the company did not even bother to give any explanation, this behavior of the private airline is a violation of the fundamental rights under Article 9, 14, 15 of the Constitution, Rule 81 of the Civil Aviation Authority, the authority to decide the presence of the attendant. Under Rule 81, the disabled person decides whether he needs an attendant or not.

The petition requested that the Civil Aviation Authority be ordered to ensure that the airlines protect the fundamental rights of the passengers, that all airlines make their policies in accordance with local and international laws and Civil Aviation Authority Rules, that all airlines comply with their terms of use. It should be mandatory to display the service on its own website, it should be ordered to develop a procedure to determine the need of attendants for persons with disabilities under Rule 81, to give special training to the staff of all airlines related to persons with disabilities. Be it ordered, the Government, the Civil Aviation Authority and all the airlines have been made parties to the petition.
