“As part of the GST Outcome, the Parties reaffirmed their commitment to multilateralism in light of the progress made under the Paris Agreement and decided to remain united in achieving the long-term goals of the Agreement. The Parties also recognized the importance of international cooperation, including cross-border cooperation, in addressing climate change in the context of sustainable development and eradication of poverty,” the statement noted.

“In the context of its mandate, Mission Roadmap 1.5, the COP Troika remains focused on its goal of significantly expanding international cooperation and creating an international enabling environment to drive ambitions in the next round of NDCs. During 2024, the COP Troika held a series of policy meetings on high level to drive ambition in the next NDC round by assessing key barriers and identifying opportunities to enhance efforts to support implementation.
