Tamira González Jiménez, linked to acts of corruption in Camagüey, no longer serves as provincial director of Culture, according to several sources from that province.
The “last” time she was seen in office, she was accompanying the tyrant Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez during a brief tour of the municipality of Nuevitas.
That happened on January 27, 2024, and the official Presidencia Cuba account on the social network X posted a photo of González, from behind, smiling at the Finger Post.
The snapshot was taken after the dictator visited the House of Culture and the Nuevitas Sports Complex “to share with your workers”reviews the Twitter thread.

During the 510th anniversary of Santa María del Puerto del Príncipe, it is striking that the local press did not show the director in any activity and those of us here did not see her in cyberspace.
The printed edition of the weekly Adelante on the occasion of the date does not have the slightest mention of the brand new director and the provincial telecenter, in several materials, did not capture her with its ancient cameras either.
On February 13, Luis Aguilera González, General Secretary of the Society of Writers of Chile and a communist militant close to the dictatorship, met with the first secretary of the PCC in Camagüey and with the Governor of the Province, in addition to Yunielkis Naranjo, one of the many victims of Tamirate, who could occupy her former friend’s chair.
Television Camagüey, on February 14, reviewed the presentation of a book at the “Máximo Gómez” Mixed Center, with the aforementioned Chilean writer. Where was the provincial director of culture? José Martínez Estévez, linked to radio and radio dramas, published on his Facebook social network account, two days before Canel’s visit to Nuevitas, that he had to find a replacement for Tamira González and proposed Ernesto Agüero, who “Coincidentally” appears in the photo of the cultural note published by the state newspaper, on February 17, 2024.

A writer, a member of the pro-Castro Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), assured Cubans around the World that Agüero, who directed this organization for several years in Camagüey, is “quite older” and although his political speech is not very attached to the regime, he could be appointed as director of culture in the province.
From the profile of Zamira González, who calls herself “cousin” of the aforementioned, we learned that Tamira González Jiménez would have been “released from her position.”

The propaganda Roundtable would have rejected Tamira’s presence in the program about the preparations for the 510th anniversary of the City due to her corrupt history.
Thus, between the certainty of several sources that confirm that Tamira was thrown out, her absence in the headlines and journalistic materials and the “gossip” of Sergio Prado, we can only wait for a very brief column, titled “Movimiento de Cuadros” that should and would be published in the following days.
Or, otherwise, Tamirato has a long life left in the former Villa Santa María in Puerto del Príncipe, and we will see her portrayed again with Federico and Miguel Mario and the relaxation, corruption and stealing will continue, yes total, Nobody fixes that.
