Vatriyiruppu: Police have shifted 6 unexploded bombs from Kottaiyur in Vattirairuppu, Virudhunagar district to a private explosives protection center for public safety.

Police are investigating four persons from the same town in connection with the bomb blast. No one was injured. A subsequent police search revealed that six more country bombs had been planted in the bush.

The bombs were cordoned off and covered with sandbags and guarded by police. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a private firecracker factory in Govindanallur, police said.

Meanwhile, four persons from the same town were interrogated by Sriv. Q and Naxal prevention units are also investigating as more bombs have been seized in the area.
