Ramanathapuram: As seen encroaching on the road in the Ramanathapuram collector office premises, two-wheelers and cars are parked causing disruption to traffic.
Collector’s office is located in Sethupathinagar of Pattanamkathan Panchayat near Ramanathapuram. Collector’s office complex has various departmental offices like Treasury, Sports Hall, Additional Collector, Deputy Collectors, Election Division, Principal Education Officer’s office, Joint Director of Agriculture.
Also, there is an integrated court, DIG, SP, office. As a result, many government officials, many out-of-town employees and many citizens come in two-wheelers and cars every day.
In this case, they are encroaching on the road and parking the vehicles in the allocated parking spaces in the collector’s office premises. This causes disruption to traffic.
Parking of vehicles on the road has become a routine especially during the weekly grievance redressal camp. Therefore, the motorists insisted that the police should take steps to stop the vehicles only in the designated places.
