On Telegram, far-right chat loops are on the rise. Some would broadcast “calls to hatred”, according to the deputies of France Insoumise, who will take legal action. According to the LFI deputies, “new loops have just been created” and “broadcast hundreds of photos of activists and even for some personal data such as their places of work”.
“One of the loops called French Aryan Division, in reference to Nazi ideology, uses the same modus operandi as (the far-right group) FRDETER, by creating departmental loops to coordinate actions”, they underline . An eponymous loop does indeed exist on Telegram, as does a Twitter account launched in May 2023.
“While we have been warning for months about the dangerousness of the far right, these new revelations show that this threat must be taken seriously and require strong responses from the State”, pleads the group of Mathilde Panot in a statement.

“We are asking Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin to take up this file before a tragedy occurs. We also ask that the people concerned can be informed and benefit from protection if they request it, ”adds the parliamentary group, which announces a referral to the public prosecutor.
A growing threat
In April, Gérald Darmanin had asked Telegram to close discussion loops used by a far-right group “FRDETER”, which he said exchanged racist remarks and calls for violence.
A dozen procedures in connection with the ultra-right have been opened in recent years at the anti-terrorist center in Paris. A threat “taken very seriously” and which “is gaining momentum”, according to a Parisian anti-terrorism magistrate.
This initiative comes on the day of the opening of the trial of four men from the neo-Nazi movement, suspected of criminal projects, in particular against mosques and meetings of Jean-Luc Mélenchon – first trial at the assizes for ultra-right terrorism. They participated in a private discussion forum called “WaffenKraft Project” on Discord.
