China’s cooperation and support will continue in all efforts of the Bangladeshi government during this crisis. China feels lucky to have the opportunity to stand by the flood-victims of Bangladesh. It is our duty to deliver this gift from Chinese President Xi Jinping to the people of Bangladesh. China is a long time tested friend of Bangladesh. As a friend, it is our responsibility to stand by our friend.’
Liu Yuen, Deputy Mission Chief of the Chinese Embassy, said this while distributing cooked food to the flood victims at GA Academy premises in Feni district on Sunday, August 25. The event was organized by the Chinese Embassy and the Association of Bangladesh China Alumni (EBCA).
Liu Yuin said, ‘What we have given to the poor people of Bangladesh on behalf of the people of China is not a help, it is a sign of love. This is a reflection of the relationship of trust between the two countries.’
The Deputy Mission Chief also said, ‘Bangladesh-China relations are much higher than any time in the past. We want to take this century-old relationship forward.’
The general secretary of the Association of Bangladesh China Alumnae (EBCA) was present during the distribution of cooked food to the flood victims by the initiative of the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka. The Chinese Embassy has arranged to distribute cooked and dry food to 12,000 flood-affected people in Feni and Comilla. Cooked food will be distributed in the first phase and dry food in the second phase.
