Chennai: The disabled have been invited to participate in the district sports competitions to be held in Chennai.
Chennai District, on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority, district level sports competitions for the alternatively abled will be held on the 22nd at Periyamedu, Nehru Stadium. In it, athletics and team competitions take place. Similarly, competitions will be held for the mentally ill and deaf according to their vulnerability, including running, long jump and kabaddi.
There is no age limit to participate in the competition. The winner of the district competition – the athlete will be eligible to participate in the state level competition. Certificates and prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each competition. A person will only be allowed to participate in one competition.
Competitors, medical certificate issued by an authorized physician. With the ID card, you must appear before the District Sports and Youth Welfare Officer at 8:00 a.m. at the venue, the District Sports Welfare Officer said.
