CHENNAI: The Northern Kings won the one-day ‘Indoor Cricket’ tournament in Thenampettai and came first. A one-day ‘Indoor Cricket’ tournament was held yesterday at the ‘Decathlon’ indoor cricket stadium in Thenampettai, under the auspices of Nirandra Creations, a private organization. In the district level competition, 16 teams from Chennai participated and clashed. Only six overs were bowled in this match with only six players per team. In the final match, The Auto Pats and Northern Kings clashed. The Auto Pats, who batted first, scored 148 runs for the loss of four wickets in the stipulated six overs. The opposing Northern Kings team won by scoring 149 runs without losing a wicket in 4.2 overs. The winning Northern Kings team was presented with a trophy and a certificate of appreciation. Appreciation certificates were given to the players who participated in the tournament and played well.
