District Kabaddi Tournament: 46 Teams | Dynamics

Mohanur: On behalf of the friends of S. Vazhavanthi Netaji Charitable Trust near Mohanur, a district level kabaddi competition was held for two days on the eve of Chief Minister Stalin’s birthday. DMK, Western Union Secretary Shanmugam presided. District Secretary Murthy inaugurated the competition. 46 teams from Namakkal, Salem, Karur and Trichy districts competed in the 55 kg weight category. S. Vazhavanthi Netaji Charitable Society, Namakkal Mandar Sangam team won the first prize, Mohanur Kandhamalai Sports Sangam won the second prize, Thotiyam Thalawas team won the third prize and the fourth prize. The winners were awarded Rs.10,222, Rs.8,022, Rs.6,022 and Rs.4,022 respectively as prize money and trophy. A consolation prize was presented to the S. Vazhavanthi Udaya Memorial Committee.
