On behalf of the Nilgiris District Cricket Association, Coonoor Don Bradman team and Kendorai cricket team participated in the B division cricket match held yesterday at Kotagiri Gandhi ground. Batting first in this match, Don Bradman’s team played only 34 overs out of the stipulated 35 overs and scored 180 runs for the loss of all wickets. Viswanathan of this team scored 50 runs, Nanda 36 runs and Joseph 30 runs. Raghuram and Ramakrishnan, the bowlers of Kentorai team, took 3 wickets each. Following this, the Kentora team continued to play with an easy target of 181 runs from 210 balls and lost all wickets in 21.4 overs by scoring just 134 runs. This team player Rakesh scored maximum 32 runs and was not out. Don Broadman’s bowlers were Senthil with 4 wickets and Joseph with 3 wickets. With this, Coonoor Don Bradman team won by 46 runs.
