A district level chess tournament was held at Managiri Sriraja Vidya Vikas School near Karaikudi on behalf of our rights protection movement. More than 300 chess players from all over Sivaganga district participated in this. School Principal Ayyappan inaugurated the competition. Sivaganga District Chess Club Vice President Muthukumar presided. Dr. Prakash, President of Our Rights Protection Movement, Sivagangai District Chess Club Secretary Kannan took the lead. Earlier, Chaturanga Kazhagam President Nagarajan welcomed.
75 players were given prizes in this tournament which was conducted in total 5 categories. Later in the awarding ceremony, Kittan Kim Arts and Science College Director and Sriraja Vidya Vikas School Principal Ramamurthy, Sivaganga District Chess Club Vice President Charles John Kennedy, Additional Secretary Prakash Manimaran, Joint Secretaries Ramu, Balu, Chess Club Treasurer Vasanthaganesan presented the prizes.
