Sankagiri Rotary Club President D. Helinacristoper presents a trophy and certificate to the winner of the district level karate competition held at Sankagiri on Sunday.
The winners of the district level karate competitions in Sankagiri were presented with certificates and trophies on behalf of the Rotary Club.
The district level karate tournament on behalf of the International Kyo Cushin Rio Karate Club Sankagiri Branch and Sankagiri Rotary Club was held in Sankagiri on Sunday. International Kyo Cushin Rio Karate Club Sankagiri Branch organized separate competitions for students between the ages of 8 and 20, ranging from 20 to 50 years.
More than 200 students from various parts of the state including Sankagiri, Salem, Jalakanpuram, Mecheri, Pallipalayam and Erode participated. In the boys’ category, Thirumalaivasan won the first place, Vaikundamuthu the second place and Monishkumar the third place. In the girls category, Priyadarshini won first place, Kanshika second and Karilnasree third.

In the women’s category for seniors, Nandini won first place and Rajeshwari second. The winners were presented with certificates and trophies by Sanggiri Rotary Club President Engineer D. Helinocristopher. Rotary Club Secretary N. Thiagarajan, Treasurer K. Senthilkumar, Administrators Ramasamy, Divakar, Karothe Coach Arjunan and many others were present.
