The diva also successfully performed songs composed by her biological father – musician Thuan Yen – such as: Chia tay hoang hon, Tu su, Em toi… helping his compositions get closer to music lovers.
With a wealth of achievements and experience, especially contributions to Vietnamese pop music, diva Thanh Lam was honored to be awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 2007. She set a record as the first independent female singer to receive this title.
Since then, diva Thanh Lam has continued to strive and dedicate herself to her career. Her latest product is the album Where to Meet Love released in 2020. The album includes famous revolutionary lyrical songs of the time such as: Love Chorus, First Spring, Mother Loves Child, Small Spring… mixed in a new, youthful style.

In 2021, Thanh Lam was nominated for the Dedication Award in the Singer of the Year category. And earlier this year, Thanh Lam received the noble title of People’s Artist. The title of People’s Artist once again affirms the position of diva Thanh Lam, as well as her great contributions to contemporary Vietnamese pop music.

Thanh Lam once shared with Gia Dinh va Xa Hoi that at the moment, she feels the happiest and most peaceful. After many emotional ups and downs, when her children were grown, Thanh Lam found new happiness. The current husband of the Vietnamese music diva is Dr. Bui Tien Hung. The two met when the female singer went to the hospital for eye surgery. After a follow-up examination, this doctor volunteered to take her home. The two began to develop feelings after many conversations with similar tastes.

On her personal page, she shows off her fresh feelings in love: “Only love can give rise to love. Therefore, the more we show our love and respect for those around us such as friends, lovers, colleagues, and even opponents… the stronger the energy released. We will receive love and respect from those around us. Love and kindness are two emotions with the strongest energy fields in the universe. Let’s love each other.”
When talking about love, she shared that this is a wonderful stage in every person’s life. Because it is full of maturity, the ups and downs of life, and knowing how to appreciate the gains and losses more. She said that this stage also helps her do her best in her duties and life with her family. This is a wonderful time for Thanh Lam.

In addition to having a good relationship with her doctor husband, she is also loved by her stepchildren. Confiding in Gia Dinh va Xa Hoi, she shared: “In life, the simplest thing is that you should treat everyone sincerely, everything comes from your heart. When you dare to live as yourself with all sincerity, that is the greatest strength to make others close and love you.
I also share with Ha – Hung’s daughter (Singer Thanh Lam’s husband) about art because he is currently studying Piano in the US. Dang Quang and Ha are majoring in the same field, so we have more to talk about.”
