Joe Biden has barely been in office for a year, but the country is already back in the permanent election campaign – bitterly led by Democrats and Republicans. There is also a crisis within both camps. Issues such as migration, racism and electoral reforms are deeply dividing society 12 months before the mid-term elections. And a possible comeback by ex-President Trump is fueling the mood. US correspondent Steffen Schwarzkopf traveled across the country for this report and met supporters from both camps.
