The board of directors of 5 listed companies have declared dividend for shareholders. This dividend has been declared for the shareholders after reviewing the audited financial report for the financial year ended December 31, 2023.

On Thursday (May 2), this information was revealed by Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE-CSE).

This decision regarding the dividend was taken after reviewing and approving the audited financial report of the last financial year in the meeting of the board of directors of the companies held earlier on Saturday.

The companies are National Credit and Commerce Bank plc, NRBC Bank plc, Southeast Bank plc, Standard Bank plc and SBAC Bank plc.

National Credit and Commerce Bank will pay 12 percent cash dividend to shareholders during the financial year under discussion. The company’s consolidated earnings per share (EPS) for the last financial year stood at Rs 2.07. As of December 31, 2023, the company’s net asset value per share (NAVPS) stood at Tk 21.82. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company will be held on August 1. The record date for this has been set on June 2.

NRBC Bank will pay 11 percent cash dividend to shareholders in the current financial year. The consolidated earnings per share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs 2.40 in the last financial year. As of December 31, 2023, the company’s net asset value per share (NAVPS) stood at Tk 17.58. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company will be held on June 13. The record date for this has been fixed on May 21.

Southeast Bank will pay 10 percent dividend to shareholders in the current financial year. Out of this 6 percent is cash and 4 percent bonus dividend. The company’s consolidated earnings per share (EPS) for the last financial year stood at Rs 1.66. As on December 31, 2023, the company’s net asset value per share (NAVPS) stood at Tk 24.92. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company will be held on August 12. The record date for this has been fixed on June 10.

Standard Bank will pay a dividend of 5 per cent to shareholders in the current financial year. Out of this 2.50 percent cash and 2.50 percent bonus dividend. The consolidated earnings per share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs 1.27 in the last financial year. As on December 31, 2023, the company’s net asset value per share (NAVPS) stood at Tk 16.93. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company will be held on July 29. The record date for this has been fixed on May 11.

SBAC Bank will pay 2 percent cash dividend to shareholders in the current accounting year. The consolidated earnings per share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs 0.66 in the last financial year. As on December 31, 2023, the company’s net asset value per share (NAVPS) stood at Tk 13.50. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company will be held on June 22. The record date for this has been fixed on May 29.
