Gautami was married to Sreenath Rajendran, the director of films like Second Show, Koothara and Kurup. But both got divorced some time ago. Gautami Nair has now revealed something that has not been publicized so far. Gautami Nair made this clear in Dhanya Varma’s interview program.

They lived together for three years after marriage. We knew each other since 2012. Later was dating. Everything was good. Father and mother asked why they came out of this marriage. We don’t really have a problem. But our ideology over time became twofold. It affects how you go about your life. We looked a lot. Is it somehow possible to find a balance in this? But it could not compromise.
Sometimes you can compromise and move on. But after a while, when something comes up, you have to point fingers saying that it happened because of you. That’s why we broke up when both of them decided to go their separate ways and live happily. Gautami Nair also says that she learned from this that communication is an important thing.
