Two members of a third family found dead in Vypin; Someone in critical condition
Two members of a three-member family, including a mother and children, were found dead. Jose, 51, of Njarakkal, and his sister Jessie, 49, a teacher at Njarakkal St. Mary’s School, were found dead inside their home.
Her mother Rita, 80, was rushed to hospital in critical condition. The dead Jose and Jesse had necks tied with string. All three were found with blood on the whip as news.
The panchayat member had informed the police as there was no noise in their house for two days. The incident came to light after a police check.
The bodies will be shifted for postmortem after the inquest. Police said all three were being treated for mental illness.
KSRTC Scania bus and lorry collide at Wayanad Krishnagiri; Serious injury to bus driver
A KSRTC Scania Bus and a lorry collided at Krishnagiri, Wayanad. The KSRTC driver was seriously injured in the accident. He was admitted to a hospital in Krishnagiri. The incident took place at around 6.30 am on the Salem-Hosur road, seven kilometers from Krishnagiri. The driver of the Thiruvananthapuram-Bangalore bus, Harish Kumar, was injured. Witnesses said the bus crashed into the back of the lorry.
No other passengers on the bus were seriously injured. The driver’s seat of the bus was completely destroyed. The driver is thought to have been asleep at the time of the accident.
