Israeli DJ Jozy Zira Sends Message of Support for Israel During US Tour

DJ Jozy Zira kicked off his United States tour with a powerful message of support for Israel during his performance at the Nabula club in New York. In front of a large crowd, Jozy incorporated red color alarms into one of his tracks as a way to raise awareness and show solidarity with the people of Israel. In a conversation with mako, Jozy stated, “I decided to do an act in my small place from the DJ position and try to convey the message in a way that the audience would understand. I wanted them to feel for a minute what we in Israel are feeling right now in the war, and in general for decades.”

In addition to incorporating the alarms into his music, Jozy also pledged to donate 10% of his income from the tour to the victims of the recent violence in Israel. When asked about the response he received from the audience, Jozy shared, “I received amazing reactions. There were Jews and Israelis in the audience who came to me at the end of the set and thanked me with tears and shivers. They told me that I was doing something important for the people of Israel.”

Despite any potential backlash, Jozy remains committed to using his platform to support Israel. “I am not afraid of anyone. I will continue to play this track and alarm in every set from now on during the war. This is my contribution to Israel’s advocacy, I will say again – I am not afraid of anything, I will continue to support the people of Israel from far and near every chance I get.”

Jozy is just one of many Israeli artists who have been using their platforms to advocate for Israel. Last month, DJ Magit Kakun made headlines for waving an Israeli flag with the inscription “Bring Them Back” at a party in Miami, dedicated to the abductees. “It’s not political, just basic humanity,” she explained.

As the conflict in Israel continues, artists like Jozy and Magit are using their talents and visibility to raise awareness and show support for their homeland.
