The world-ranked Novak Djokovic tonight (Wednesday) led Serbia’s Davis team to a 1-2 victory over Kazakhstan en route to the Davis Cup semi-finals, where his team will face a fierce battle against its hated neighbor, Croatia.

Nola advanced to the singles match after his compatriot, Yumir Kachmanovich, lost 7: 6, 4: 6 and 7: 6 to Mikhail Kokushkin. Djokovic knew he had to win in order to transfer the decision to the doubles match and did the job with 3: 6 and 4: 6 over Alexander Bublik.

Joko also came up for the doubles match along with his compatriot Nikola Chachić. The Serbian duo started the game great and won the first set 2: 6. The Kazakhs did not give up and responded in a great second set with their own 2: 6 and everything drained into a decisive battle, in which Djokovic and Chachich raised the level again and won 3: 6 on the way to the semifinals.
