DMK has announced that it will hold talks with the parties regarding the division of constituencies as the work for the parliamentary Lok Sabha elections is getting intense.

According to this, the DMK will hold talks with the Communist Party of India on February 3 and with the Marxist Party and the Madhyamik Party on February 4 regarding the distribution of seats for the Lok Sabha elections.

MDMK:

On February 4, DMK will hold a consultation with Madhyamik regarding the seat allocation. Also, it has been reported that Trichy has been allocated to the DMK in the DMK alliance. According to this, the consultative meeting between DMK and DMK will be held under the chairmanship of DR Balu.

It is said that Vaiko’s son Durai Vaiko may contest in Trichy. It seems that he has already started the work for this.

Earlier in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Ganesa Murthy, who belonged to the Madhyamik Party, contested on the DMK symbol and won in the Erode constituency. But now it is reported that Trichy will be given to Madhyamik instead of Erode. But regarding the Trichy constituency, it is noteworthy that Thirunavukarasar of Congress won last time.

As far as the DMK is concerned, it seems that the Congress party will get 7 seats and the Communist parties will get 4 seats.

DMK is the third largest party nationally. Hence, the more constituencies are contested, the more likely they are to win, and hence the seats given to coalition parties are seen as highly important.

And with DMK winning more constituencies, the power will be available to decide the political change at the national level. It is for reasons like these that the current block allocation is seen as of utmost importance.
