Similarly, Dharmapuri Constituency MP Senthilkumar raised controversy when he spoke about the northern state and protested against the presence of a Sami film in a government programme. Due to this, DMK seniors have opined that ‘he should not be given a chance this time’.
However, some of the prominent administrators have expressed their support to give a chance to Senthil Kumar, who is seriously talking about DMK’s policies in the field. His name is included in the suspect list as there are two different opinions.
People from their own party say that Palani Manikam should not be given a chance in Thanjavur. Shanmukha Sundra, who is the MP from Pollachi constituency, is also asking for a chance again. However, party sources say that it is doubtful whether he will be given a chance again as his activities have not been noteworthy.
Also, it is said that Udhayanidhi will be more dominant in the candidate selection this time. He requested the Chief Minister to ‘give a chance to the youth’ on the stage of the youth team conference. In this case, he is said to have recommended some names from the IT wing and the youth team.
Seniors who act as DMK’s face in Delhi are disgruntled with Udhayanidhi’s intervention. In particular, seniors may not have a chance again. It was also said that due to this, controversy may erupt in the own party.
