DMK Minister Udayanidhi Stalin to Organize Grand Youth Conference Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

CHENNAI: In a move to energize and empower the youth within the party, DMK Minister Udayanidhi Stalin has announced plans to hold a grand conference ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, according to party sources. Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is also currently serving his Cabinet duties, has decided to prioritize political work by organizing this conference.

The last grand youth conference organized by the DMK took place in 2007, led by Chief Minister Stalin when he held the position of DMK’s youth secretary. It has been 17 years since that event, and now Udayanidhi Stalin is determined to revive and reinvigorate the youth conference tradition.

Discussions have been held to select a suitable venue for the conference, with options considered in both Kongu Mandal and Central Tamil Nadu. After careful consideration, it has been decided that the conference will be held in the Kongu region. The final destination has been confirmed as Salem, with Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, and Namakkal also being considered.

According to reliable sources within the DMK, the youth conference is scheduled to take place in Salem at the end of November. It is speculated that this conference will serve as a preview for the party’s intention to field young leaders in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, providing them with opportunities to showcase their capabilities.

The presence of Udayanidhi Stalin is expected to strengthen the DMK, especially in Kongu Mandal, where some members were reportedly disheartened by the absence of Minister Senthil Balaji. The youth conference is seen as a means to rejuvenate the spirits and enthusiasm within the Kongu Mandal DMK.

In addition to his political responsibilities, Udayanidhi Stalin is actively fulfilling his duties as Sports Minister. He is currently focusing on making the necessary arrangements for the upcoming Hockey Asia Cup series, scheduled to take place in Chennai. The championship, set to begin on August 3, is expected to garner worldwide attention and recognition.

This event holds great significance as it marks Minister Udayanidhi Stalin’s first major international event since assuming his role in the sports department. In order to ensure its success, he has issued important orders to departmental officials and Chennai Corporation officials. The directive primarily emphasizes the cleanliness and beautification of the surrounding areas near the stadium.

Chennai Mayor Priya and Chennai Corporation Commissioner Radhakrishnan are directly overseeing the arrangements for the hockey series. Commissioner Radhakrishnan is monitoring the preparations taking place inside the stadium, while Mayor Priya is focusing on enhancing the basic facilities and decorative structures in the surrounding areas.

After the successful organization of the Hockey Asia Cup series, Udayanidhi Stalin will shift his attention towards the grand youth conference, further illustrating his dedication towards both his cabinet and political responsibilities.
