Letters written by readers to Dinamalar Daily about the happenings in the world, country and Tamil Nadu:

N. Ramakrishnan writes from Palani, Dindigul district: ‘The DMK is determined to oppose the imposition of Hindi in Tamil Nadu’, and there was no choice but to laugh at Chief Minister Stalin’s speech at the recent Hero’s Day public meeting.

There is a saying, ‘Andy blew the conch that was idle’. Similarly, the DMK was responsible for the death of many students by expelling them, saying that Hindi was imposed on them. The DMK came to power in 1967, not because of the Hindi imposition struggle; At the time, the main reason was the sympathy wave caused by the MGR shooting incident.

Also, I would like to recall an incident so that today’s generation may know…

Last, in 1986, when MGR was the Chief Minister, for no reason, Karunanidhi broke the DMK and organized an anti-Hindi protest again to trouble MGR. With no other option, Karunanidhi was arrested and imprisoned for 45 days, MGR provided all the facilities for him, along with DMK members, forgetting the Hindi opposition, protested and went to jail saying ‘Karunanidhi should be freed’.

Karunanidhio ate and rested well in jail, scripted four films and was released with an income of Rs 40 lakh; This is history. Karunanidhi, who claims to have drunk Tamil, named his son Stalin in English instead of naming him in Tamil.

Therefore, CM Stalin should not divert people by saying that he is anti-Hindi unnecessarily, but should focus on government administration and fulfill at least half of the promises he made during the election. If this is done, after the next election, the opposition can at least sit in line; Otherwise, DMK will have to go into exile again.
