DN Solutions, a leading machine tool company, has commenced construction of a new manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, India, aiming to enhance local production and bolster its engineering talent pool.
- DN Solutions broke ground on a new plant in Bengaluru, India, on Aug. 13.
- The facility is slated for completion and mass production in the first half of next year.
- The company also launched a significant engineer recruitment drive in July.
- This move aligns with a strategy to establish an R&D center and hire over 500 local talents by 2032.
DN Solutions, the top domestic company in the machine tool sector, has officially started building a new plant in Bengaluru. This significant expansion, marked by a groundbreaking ceremony on Aug. 13, is set to ramp up its production and development capabilities. The company is also actively recruiting a large cohort of engineers to support these new operations.
More than 50 individuals, including Kim Young-sam, the head of DN Solutions’ Indian subsidiary, and partner representatives, attended the event at the ITIR industrial complex. The ceremony included prayers for safety and accident-free construction. The new plant is projected to be completed and commence mass production in the first half of next year. It will focus on locally customized products, such as the SVM 4100i, to meet the demands of Indian customers.

Talent acquisition has also been a major focus. In July, DN Solutions conducted its largest university engineer recruitment drive in India to date. The company has secured new employees averaging 22 years old from prominent universities in Bengaluru and Karnataka. These recruits, majoring in mechanical and electrical/electronics engineering, are expected to become core technical personnel for the new factory’s operations and support development efforts.
Did you know? DN Solutions plans to establish an R&D center alongside the new plant and hire over 500 local employees by 2032.
India is rapidly evolving into a critical hub for global manufacturing, driven by its vast population and robust economic growth. The demand for machine tools is particularly strong in the automotive, electronics, and energy infrastructure sectors. Supportive government policies aimed at fostering manufacturing and attracting foreign investment further fuel this market expansion.
Bengaluru, often referred to as India’s ‘Silicon Valley,’ is a nexus of high-tech manufacturing, automation, and IT expertise. As global companies expand their production bases, Korean firms are increasingly active in the region. Approximately one-fourth of India’s machine tool companies are concentrated here, making it an advantageous location for supply chain and infrastructure access.
Kim Won-jong, CEO of DN Solutions, stated, “The commencement of new factories and the recruitment of young talent bring us closer to Indian manufacturing.” He added, “We will strengthen our global competitiveness by contributing to the development of local industries.”
