A universal QR code and POS based cashless transaction system has been launched at Khilgaon Taltala City Corporation Super Market in the capital under Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
On Monday (April 29) in the afternoon, DNCC Mayor Md. inaugurated the program of incorporating cashless payment system in Fortune Convention Hall adjacent to Khilgaon Taltala Market. Atiqul Islam
Note that Bangladesh Bank, DNCC and Mastercard have jointly taken this initiative. This initiative, linked to the government’s Smart Bangladesh vision, will enable 1,047 small and large traders to receive money through digital payments.
Traders of Khilgaon Taltala City Corporation Super Market can now accept payments with the help of Bangla QR and POS machines. Through this they will be able to involve themselves in formal financial services as well as creating a digital footprint in business activities. At the same time, consumers can also make digital payments quickly and securely by paying with the help of cards, bank apps and MFS wallets.
DNCC Mayor said in the speech of the chief guest. Atiqul Islam said, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, we have already been able to build digital Bangladesh. We have now started activities to build Smart Bangladesh. Dhaka North City Corporation has now brought many services online. Now no one has to visit DNCC office to pay holding tax and get trade license. Citizens are getting this service online at home. The range of online services will be increased gradually.
