At that time Mayor Atiqul Islam said to the people present that we have undertaken this program on behalf of DNCC to prevent dengue. If everyone is not aware, it will not be possible for the city corporation alone to control dengue. Aedes mosquitoes breed in the clear water accumulated in these abandoned tires, yogurt containers, can shells, chips packets. And so that water cannot accumulate, we have taken the initiative to buy these. Hopefully, through this, common people will be aware. You will go to each DNCC councilor’s office and deposit these and take the cash.

The mayor also said that Dhaka North City has taken the initiative to buy abandoned polythene, packets of chips, ice cream cups, can shells, unused tires, commodes and other abandoned items from common people, which are the breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes scattered all over the city and a threat to the environment. Corporation.

Anyone can go to the councilor’s office in each ward and collect cash by depositing these abandoned items. The waste products procured from each ward will be collected daily regularly by the cleaners and removed to the nearest STS (Secondary Transfer Station). The organization has taken this initiative to clean every ward by involving the people.

According to DNCC sources, Rs 100 for every 100 packets of discarded chips or similar packets; Ice Cream Cups, Disposable Glass, Cups 100 x 100, Unused Polythene 50 per kg, Shells 2 per can; Clay, plastic, melamine, ceramic pots Rs. 3 each.

Apart from this, North City Corporation will buy abandoned tires for 50 rupees, abandoned commodes, basins for 100 rupees, abandoned plastic products for 10 rupees per kg.
