On Wednesday (September 25), three inspection teams from the Local Government Department and ten inspection teams consisting of DNCC officials conducted on-site inspection of the larvicide operations conducted in the first phase from 7:00 am to 10:00 am and the second phase from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in 10 regions of DNCC. This monitoring program which started yesterday will continue for two consecutive weeks.
It is to be noted that to protect citizens from dengue infection, activities such as creating public awareness, destroying mosquito breeding grounds, conducting cleaning operations and killing larvae and mosquitoes are being implemented.
