The cause of polyposis is either a genetic factor or the irritation of the mucous membrane, swelling, for example, as a result of various allergens. It leads to swelling of the nasal mucosa, by which the mucosa protects itself from the given allergen, so as not to let the allergen enter the bloodstream.

Treatment of polyps years ago was only surgical, but modern medicine pays a lot of attention to anti-allergic treatments, pre-operative and post-operative approaches.

In fact, surgery for polyps can lead to double overgrowth of polyps, which carries risks.
