Opposition leader Edappadi Palanisamy has urged the government to take steps to rectify the problem, rather than giving false information on the issue.
AIADMK has set up a free sewing training center for women in Konganapuram area under Edappadi assembly constituency in Salem district. The training camp was inaugurated by AIADMK Co-ordinator and Leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Edappadi Palanisamy.
He later told reporters that the government should take action to rectify the power outage in Tamil Nadu due to the shortage of coal. It should be rectified on the basis that it is a public issue, except that the Minister gives false information in the matter of power cuts. Occasional power outages affect all industries in Tamil Nadu, including agriculture.
He said that next Monday I, the co-ordinator, would go to the OBS and offer my condolences to the families of the victims of the Thanjavur chariot accident. Ilangovan was already the AIADMK secretary for Salem East district.
Edappadi Palanisamy also said that he has been given the responsibility of Salem Suburban District Secretary on the basis that he has performed better than the chairmanship of the State Co-operative Bank given to him by Jayalalithaa.
