Tambaram Municipal Police Commissioner Ravi has advised not to go without inquiring in the hope of getting higher salary abroad.

Vanja (58) and his daughter Manjula (38) hail from Lakshman Nagar, Trisulam next to Pallavaram in Chennai. He has two children. Her husband left Manjula 16 years ago. Having been in the care of his mother till date, he decided to go abroad for work due to family poverty and left for Kuwait on March 17 last year after paying Rs 60,000 for a job through a travel agency called Pasha from Thiruvannamalai district, Chengam. The man, who went to Kuwait for work, posted a video on WhatsApp to his mother saying he was being sold there and working hard.

Pallavaram Intelligence Chief Dominic Raj was informed about this on April 26. They thereby lodged a complaint with the Tambaram Commissioner’s Office. The Pallavaram police filed a case and arrested agents Pasha (31) and Sardar (50) from Thiruvannamalai on the 28th and arranged for them to come to Tamil Nadu to rescue Manjula who was trapped in Kuwait.

Tambaram Commissioner Ravi, who met reporters today, said many women are being sent to work abroad in the hope of getting higher salaries. Don’t let anyone go without inquiring anymore. Tambaram Commission police said a woman was immediately rescued based on a complaint lodged by a tearful Malka mother. He also said that he had to write to the protector of emigrations about such problems and that when sending a woman alone he should send a proper inquiry and send the details to the government and find a permanent solution by sending it to the concerned department.

The woman, who was rescued, said she was treated like a slave and tried to beat him without food, thus contacting her mother. He further said that he returned home in 5 days with the help of the police. Tearful Malka spoke as if the child would not even be looking at the cubs otherwise.

Tambaram Commissioner Ravi lauded Dominic Raj, Assistant Commissioner Arokiya Ravindran and Inspector Dayal for bringing the Tamil Nadu woman stranded in Kuwait to Tamil Nadu within 5 days of receiving the information.
