The Observatory: Dr. Deborah Lee of Dr. Fox’s online pharmacy revealed that the “first” symptom of esophageal cancer is usually dysphagia.

“Esophageal cancer usually starts at the lower end of the esophagus,” Lee explained. “The cancer most likely develops there because it is the site of acid reflux.”

And he continued: “It grows slowly in this highly acidic environment and as it grows, it blocks the lower part of the esophagus, which means that it becomes difficult to swallow,” according to the “Express” newspaper.

He continued: “It seems that the food sticks in the throat, and sometimes causes discomfort, a feeling of nausea, vomiting, and dripping of saliva.”
