US-based technology company Apple has asked its suppliers to comply with China’s customs law instead. Apple parts made in Taiwan must be labeled Taiwan China or Chinese Taipei. The US-based company told its suppliers that it had started implementing the rule. The company has asked the suppliers to strictly follow the rules so that exports are not disrupted.

Distributors should immediately prepare to amend labels for shipments from Taiwan to China. Sources say that any kind of irregularity in this may lead to serious problems. Chinese customs authorities will have the power to seize products exported in violation of regulations, officials said. A fine of up to 4,000 yuan (Rs. 46,972.73) may be levied for violation of the law.

China is trying to impose a tough defense on Taiwan. The previous day, Taiwan had crossed the Line of Control and held several military exercises. But Taiwan was also defensive against China. Media reports that the tension between the two factions is increasing day by day.
