jpnn.com – The Democratic Party responded to the efforts of netizens to heat up the political parties led by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) to make the construction of the Capital City (IKN) stalled such as the Center for Education, Training and National Sports Center (P3SON) Projects (P3SON) Hambalang.
The response was conveyed by the Deputy Secretary General (Wasekjen) of the Democratic Party DPP Jansen Sitindaon who claimed to have received a lot of mention related to the IKN and Hambalang projects.
IKN is one of the mainstay megaprojects of the seventh president of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi), while the Hambalang project that was stalled was built by the sixth President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and was not continued by its construction by Iriana’s husband.
“Since last night netizens continued to heat up about Hambalang and IKN. Almost all of us Democratic cadres were mention,” Jansen said quoted from his written statement, Saturday (8/2/2025).
According to Jansen, the heat-up party hoped that the Democrats who were now in the government would give the same treatment to the IKN, as the Hambalang project was made stalled.
“Or at least we are also expected to support the process of making it. We do not adhere to the flow, all friends. Let us sufficient to ‘reciprocate’ in this politics, because there is no point,” said Jansen.
It is known that currently the Chairperson of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) is the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Region in the Prabowo government cabinet.
Jansen reminded that in each project there was a state money that was included in it. If left or stalled, then the money that has entered will be wasted.
Democratic Party Wasekjen Jansen Sitindaon did not want to be stalled or treated like a Hambalang project. Enough to reciprocate each other in politics.
