As previously announced, Mahindra has launched its XUV400 EV model.

As petrol and diesel prices in India are increasing day by day, people are starting to show more interest in electric cars. Electric cars are also the choice of those who want to protect the environment. Mahindra company has introduced an electric car among the Indian customers. The Mahindra XUV400 EV electric car will be available in 2 variants namely EC and EL. The booking for this will be started from 26th January.

In terms of performance, the XUV400 EC offers a range of 375 km on a 34.5 kWh battery pack. Meanwhile the EL offers a range of 456 km in a 39.4 kWh unit. Both the variants will be powered by the same electric motor that outputs 110 kW and 310 Nm of torque. This XUV sprints from 0-100 kmph in 8.3 seconds. It is said to have a top speed of 150 kmph. The EC is available with a 3.3 kW charger. And for an additional cost, buyers can upgrade to a faster 7.2 kW charger. The new XUV is available in five color options – Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black and Infinity Blue.

The Mahindra XUV400 electric car’s EC variant has been priced at Rs 15.99 lakh for the 3.3 kW charger model and Rs 16.49 lakh for the 7.2 kW charger model of this variant. And its delivery work will be started during Diwali festival this year. On the other hand, the EL variant of the Mahindra XUV400 electric car has been priced at Rs 18.99 lakh. Its delivery work will be started from the coming month of March.

This price is applicable only for the first 5 thousand people who book the Mahindra XUV400 Electric car. The 2 variants EC and EL will be sold for 5 thousand each at a total of 10 thousand people at this price. After that there are chances of price increase. The test drive of this car has already started and the customers are excited. There are reports that many customers are flocking to Mahindra showrooms to view and test drive the electric car.
