VOX POP – France-Evening wanted to know how citizens’ confidence in medicine had evolved since the Covid-19 episode. To carry out this street survey, we went to Saint-Ouen, on the border of Paris in Seine-Saint-Denis, in a city of social diversity.

All the individuals who agreed to speak to us appear without exception in this report: all opinions were able to express themselves freely about the role of doctors before, during and after the health crisis, the action of the health authorities or the behavior of the pharmaceutical industry and its expensive vaccines…

Positions on the management of SARS-CoV 2 differ greatly, depending on sensitivities. These range from a “thanks to the government for doing things for the common good” to the feeling that “trust has been broken” at the executive level.

The same goes for medicine: “I am not confident anymore”says a woman worried about the side effects of the vaccine, when a man says he does not know “what would have happened if the vaccines had not been found”.

Information appears to be the key to the problem. “It depends [laquelle] we listen”, says a young man, favorable to the management of the health crisis but without illusions about the commercial interest of Big Pharma.

“Me, I listened to the best: Raoult, Perronne, Montagnier”, indicates an older man, who evokes “Propaganda” medias. “Did you see what we did with Montagnier?”he said, pointing out that a Nobel Prize was not invited to television sets to be respected and listened to.
