Doctena Expands Its Doctor Appointment Platform with Acquisition of Terminland’s Medical Division
Luxembourg-based Doctena, an online platform for booking doctor’s appointments, continues its rapid growth with the acquisition of the medical division of Wiesbaden-based online appointment provider, Terminland. This strategic move allows Doctena to provide access to the appointments of approximately 5,000 registered physicians and dentists in Germany, as well as 7,000 physicians across Europe.
According to a press release, the acquisition of Terminland’s physicians segment strengthens Doctena’s position in the market and expands its international presence. In addition to offering online booking services for physicians, Terminland also provides the same service for other sectors. This acquisition aligns with Doctena’s dual corporate strategy of organic and inorganic growth through acquisitions.
“With the strategic acquisition of Terminland’s physicians segment, which also offers online booking services for other sectors, Doctena now provides access to the appointments of around 5,000 registered physicians and dentists in Germany and 7,000 physicians in Europe,” said a spokesperson from Doctena.

Terminland is considered to be one of the leading cross-industry online appointment providers, and its acquisition brings an excellent network to Doctena. The company, founded in Luxembourg in 2013, acquired the Belgian platform Docbook just last year and took over the Doxter portal in 2016. With the recent acquisition of Terminland, Doctena now operates in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Switzerland.
