Howard Tucker from the United States, who has passed the age of 100 and has been providing medical services without rest, has been included in the Guinness Book of Records for the record of ‘World’s Oldest Doctor’.
Howard Tucker hails from Cleveland, Ohio, USA. At the age of 98 years, 231 days in February 2021, Tucker became the world’s oldest practicing physician. Reaching the age of 100, he continues to work as he has ‘no intention of retiring now’.
His wife Sue, 89, works as a psychoanalyst. As he reached his 100th birthday in July, he contracted the corona virus. At that time, he has been giving medical advice through the Zoom app.
Regarding the Guinness Book of Records, Tucker said:-
“I consider it a great honor to receive the Guinness World Record and another achievement in a long, fulfilling and happy life. I continue to follow the same approach I adopted when I started practicing medicine in 1947. I learn a lot from my staff and visitors every day.”

It was when he read the obituary of a barber listed as one of the world’s oldest people that Howard was inspired to apply for the title of ‘Oldest Doctor’. Being the same age, he understood that he could break records. His grandson Austin has helped him submit a formal application for Guinness World Records.
