(ANSA) – REGGIO CALABRIA, 14 SEPTEMBER – A doctor in the emergency room of the Grande ospedale metropolitano of Reggio Calabria was attacked yesterday evening around 8 pm by “an uncivilized person who demanded to be seen immediately. The attack did not cause serious physical damage only thanks to the prompt intervention of another health worker. As for the psychological damage, I await the many wise guys who will want to ‘blow a trumpet’ about it”. This was announced by the extraordinary commissioner of the hospital company Gianluigi Scaffidi. The attacker was identified by the police. “I do not intend to add any comments – Scaffidi states – because there is already too much talk about the solution to the problem, even with silly inventions, while the Legislator, who should act out of institutional duty, is silent.
