According to the expert, drying dishes with a cloth can contain up to 1 million more living organisms than a toilet bowl. “The ideal is to let the dishes dry naturally”, he pointed out.
He was in the city at the invitation of the municipal secretary of Health, Sandro Benites. The appearance was an attempt to encourage the general public of Campo Grande to get vaccinated against the flu. At the time, the biomedical doctor took the bivalent dose of the immunizer at the fixed influenza vaccination center, located on Rua 14 de Julho. The two did a live on social media clarifying some doubts about vaccination and cleaning.
To the Campo Grande News the doctor insisted on revealing other curiosities that, until then, were taken for granted by many people, such as the morning habit of making the bed when waking up, for example. According to biomedical, the action can only be done two hours after waking up.

“You can’t put it at that temperature in the fridge. The ideal consumption of food in the refrigerator is five days, in the case of ready-to-eat foods. No storing food covered, no cloths inside the fridge either”.
Moisture – The doctor also put an end to the “Brazilian kludge” to get around the dry weather. According to the expert, leaving buckets or wet towels in the room accumulate numerous bacteria. For him, the problem is alleviated by opening the bedroom window at least six times a day.

Vaccination – According to Sandro Benites, municipal secretary of Health, the goal is to vaccinate 90% of the population by the end of the year and 50% by the beginning of winter. However, so far, only 22% of the general public have received the vaccine, which represents 74,900 people out of an estimated public of 339,000.
It is worth mentioning that, since last Thursday (11), vaccination against influenza is released for the entire population of Campo Grande, over 6 months. The release occurs due to low demand by priority groups and also lower temperatures, which favor the spread of the virus.
The highest percentage rate of coverage is among adolescents in socio-educational measures, with 47.89%. In quantitative terms, the elderly aged 60 years or older remain among those who were vaccinated the most.
Doctor Bactéria, who also received the bivalent dose of the vaccine against the flu, said that the act is extremely important for health. “We have to be aware of taking vaccines and that they save lives”.
