Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace and Clarence House accused the BBC of damaging the image of the royal family and the heir to the throne. The broadcaster would spread false claims and would not have given the royal family an adequate right of reply. Allegedly, the Royals were not allowed to see the first or the second part in advance.
For example, Omid Scobie (40), the unofficial mouthpiece of Duchess Meghan (40) and co-author of the biography “Finding Freedom”, claimed in the first part that the negative stories about Harry and his wife Meghan were targeted by courtiers to the press were scattered – even by Team William.

According to “Daily Mail“The royal family wants to wait for the second part to be broadcast on Monday evening before deciding whether and which steps are to be taken.
One possibility would be to lodge a strong complaint with the BBC or the UK Media Authority. Legal steps are also conceivable, but rather unlikely.
After all: Prince Harry has already achieved a partial success. His complaint that the term “Megxit” was sexist – the term was used to describe Harry and Meghan’s decision to resign from royal duties – has reached the BBC, according to media reports. Instead, the documentary speaks of “Sussexite”.
It seems inevitable that there will be consequences in whatever form. Presumably, the BBC as a national television broadcaster will lose more of its privileges over the royals.
Prince William and his wife Kate have already banned the BBC from broadcasting the Royal Christmas Concert at Westminster Abbey in December, hosted by Kate. According to the British “The Sun”, the British broadcaster ITV should now be allowed to show the program.
