Documentation difficult to view: A construction worker grabbed a rope from a great height and fought for his life

by time news

“It almost ended in death,” wrote one of ten thousand surfers who responded to the hard-to-watch video released earlier this week. Operating at a construction site in Toronto, USA, was documented hanging from a rope attached to a high crane.

PCL Constructors Canada, the company managing the construction project on Front and Simco streets in the city, capitalized that the incident occurred last Tuesday, and that the worker apparently got entangled in one of the ropes attached to the crane and fell down. In the short and difficult-to-watch video posted on social media, Hapoel is seen holding on to a rope while hanging several floors high. The clip was interrupted before the worker managed to reach the ground safely, but the company confirmed that he was left with minor injuries to his hand. The employer stated that they were operating “according to all precautionary regulations” and that the incident would be investigated in depth.

Before being published in Tiktok by CTV News Toronto, the video was posted on Instagram on Tuesday by My S1, a company that spreads the importance of safety in the workplace. My S1 president Philip Pereira told CTV News Toronto that an employee who was at the construction site when the incident occurred, but preferred to remain anonymous, sent him the video.

The video garnered millions of views and tens of thousands of comments from agitated surfers. “I would have resigned that day,” one surfer wrote, while another added, “This man is very lucky. If he had not held tight enough, it would have ended in death.”
