The head of the Beer Yaakov Yeshiva, Rabbi David Yitzchak Shapira, arrived on Thursday to give a special lesson to the members of the yeshiva staying at the camp at the Givat Washington campus.
The head of the yeshiva gave the lesson on ‘honoring his father-in-law’, after the lesson the young men broke into song and dance for the joy of the Torah, After the Mincha prayer accompanied by the members of the yeshiva singing ‘To his light we will go and walk’ Gerdi Shapira arrived to visit the room of the yeshiva’s head Rabbi Baruch Mordechai Tsari who is staying in Givat Washington together with the ‘Bnei Torah’ camp of the ‘Etaret Yisrael yeshiva.
During the visit, they talked at length about Maran the Gramash Shapira zt’al and the relationship of the Gramash with Yablhta the Gramash Tsarichi. Gerdi Shapira, head of Yeshiva Be’er Yaacov, sings his well-known song in the yeshiva world, ‘Shivanu matovach’, with the members of the yeshiva joining him in singing. After that, the Gervam sings the song ‘Zur mishlo akhlanu’.
At his departure, Rabbi Beer Ya’akov said to the Gervam Zechi that he gave a lesson about honoring his father-in-law and honoring his father, and it occurred to him in the lesson that even a great man of this generation is called a distinguished rabbi, and he said of the Gervam that he is a distinguished rabbi. And straight from the lesson he came to visit him.
