Many studies have also been done on this.

Further in the video, Dr. Anjali said that eating these natural foods to induce labor pain does not have any side effects, so you can take them in moderation. In this way, the doctor’s opinion is that there is no scientific evidence as to whether eating something will cause labor pain or not, but they do not have any negative effects either, so you can try them.

Eating dates induces labor pain

A study published in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology conducted research on the natural induction of labor using dates. 154 pregnant women participated in this study. They were divided into two groups and one group was given 7 dates daily from the 37th week and the other group was not given dates.

At the end of the study, the women who had consumed dates experienced less intensity of labor pains compared to the women who did not consume it.

Castor Oil

It is also said about this oil that drinking it starts labor pains naturally. A research paper published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences states that castor oil contains ricinoleic acid which causes contractions in the prostaglandin receptors of the intestines and uterus. This can start labor pains.

Garlic

It is said that eating garlic also helps in labor pain. If you eat two cloves of garlic every morning on an empty stomach, then you will not get constipated and your stomach will remain clean, which will cause contractions in the uterus for labor pain. However, you should not eat anything without asking the doctor.

Pineapple

Dr. Anjali has also included this food in her list. Pineapple is prohibited in the first three months because it is believed that it can cause miscarriage. Pineapple contains bromelain which softens the walls of the uterus. This triggers contractions in the uterus for delivery.
