Hard times for fashion designer Guido Maria Kretschmer. The “Shopping Queen” star has lost another of his dogs.
Recently, Guido Maria Kretschmer had to cope with some painful blows of fate. In 2023, he not only mourned the loss of his dog Aimée, but a short time later he also had to say goodbye to his father Erich and his mother Marianne – there were only a few months between their deaths. In April 2024, Kretschmer’s four-year-old dog Idaya also died.
Now the designer has again reported sad news to his Instagram followers: his dog Alaiyha has died – she was 13 years old. “When you died in our arms last night, our world stopped for a moment,” the 59-year-old wrote alongside a picture of the four-legged friend.
However, the “Shopping Queen” star also thinks back to the beautiful moments with the deceased animal. “How we loved you and how lucky we were to have had you with us for so long,” he says movingly.
Guido Maria Kretschmer’s followers can understand his emotional chaos: “It hurts and at the same time makes you grateful to have received such unconditional and honest love as only dogs can give,” writes one user. “My deepest condolences. All my love and lots of strength,” “I feel for you” and “I send you a big hug,” read other comments.
Most recently, Guido Maria Kretschmer and his partner Frank Mutters were delighted to welcome a new addition to their family: they took in a dog that had been rescued from a killing station in Andalusia. “It was love at first sight and the beautiful Mila settled in well with us after just a few days – almost as if she had always been there,” enthused the designer.
