Two dogs were found tied to the trunk of a moving car this Sunday evening, sparking outrage online and prompting an animal welfare inquiry.

A video circulating on Instagram shows a pit bull and a German shepherd secured to the trunk of a vehicle while it was in motion, igniting a wave of condemnation on social media. The incident reportedly occurred on January 4.

In the video, a bystander can be heard exclaiming, “What the hell are they doing to these dogs, these bastards? They’re dragging them out of the car, man!”

Authorities identified the driver as Dan Bujor, 68, according to reports.

Dogs Receive Medical Care

The two dogs,aged 2 and 4 years old,are now receiving treatment at the ASPCA shelter in Manhattan. Veterinarians have diagnosed them with a perforation of the left eardrum, obesity, abrasions on their paw pads, and skin inflammation.
