Doha fires teacher for violating rules

Doha: Action against a teacher who gave pills to students in violation of the rules. The private school teacher who gave the pill was fired. The Ministry of Education had conducted a detailed investigation into the incident in which 4 students were given pills. The teacher was then removed from service.

Only school nurses are allowed to administer medication to students with parental consent. Laboratory tests revealed that the pills did not contain any harmful substances. The investigation was carried out in collaboration with the Competent Authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Authorities said the teacher had taken personal action and would not allow such behavior on students. Authorities said they would take all possible measures to ensure the health of the students.
