The Doha-based International Expo 2023 will kick off on October 2. It lasts for six months. The Doha International Horticultural Expo is Qatar’s largest event since the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The Expo will kick off on October 2, 2023 at Albida Park, Doha. The six-month-long expo will feature 80 countries. Organizers said in Doha that this was the first such exhibition to be held in the Mena region, which includes West Asia and North Africa.
The theme of the exhibition is ‘Green Desert Better Environment’. Covering an area of 1.7 million square feet, the Expo City is expected to attract three million visitors in six months. Qatar Municipal Minister Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turk Al Sube said he hoped the hosting of the expo would help promote international cooperation on environmental and cultural issues and address the general global challenge of desertification.
The fair will focus on modern agriculture, technology, innovation, environmental awareness and sustainability, he said at a press conference in Doha. Ali al-Khoury added that the objectives of the expo will give visitors a unique experience and motivate them to be a part of great environmental change.
