The Government of President Nayib Bukele began this Saturday, June 10, the construction of the municipal market of Concepción de Oriente, La Unión, the sixth project of this type carried out by the Municipal Works Directorate at the national level.
The work requested by the building authorities, which will consist of two levels, will be carried out in an area of more than 445.05 square meters to benefit more than 7,000 inhabitants of this municipality in the eastern part of the country.
62 commercial premises will be built, a rest, loading and unloading area, CAM office, toilets, electrical substation, a drinking water machine room and a fire-fighting system such as planters and sidewalks, among others.
The official act of launching the work was chaired by the representative of the DOM, engineer Gerson Franco; the mayor of Concepción de Oriente Hugo García and the deputies of the new Legislative Assembly Maricela Umaña, Óscar Robles and Edwin Serpas.
This is the sixth work of this type that the DOM executes at a national level after San José Guayabal, in Cuscatlán; Chalchuapa and Candelaria de La Frontera, in Santa Ana; Cuisnahuat, in Sonsonate and El Triunfo, in Usulután.
Always in Concepción de Oriente, last weekend work began on the historic construction of the El Molino Canton School Center, the tenth project of this type built by the DOM nationwide.
