The Municipal Works Directorate (DOM) delivered the second modern and safe street to the more than 300 inhabitants of the Los Cipreses canton in Talnique in La Libertad, which contributes to the plan to transform the area into a place of development.
The project consisted of the recovery of 500 linear meters, for which more than 3 thousand cubic meters of hydraulic concrete were used to transform this deteriorated road forgotten by past administrations.
It was renovated from the main street to the road that leads to the Los Cipreses canton and included other drainage works such as the construction of gutters and speed bumps.
The works included widening the width of the street, where the intervened section is in a fairly steep sector. Rainwater boxes were also built.
With the renovation of this road, the coffee sector in the area will benefit, where a large agricultural production is also generated with green beans and chili peppers, among others.
Last September, the first delivery of a road improvement in the El Tránsito canton of this municipality was carried out in Talnique, where more than 3 kilometers of streets were renovated.
With the improvements of dirt roads in the department of La Libertad, work is being done in 11 municipalities simultaneously, including Chiltiupán, Comasagua, Teotepeque, Tamanique, Zaragoza and Quezaltepeque.
Likewise, with the National Patching Plan, the DOM is covering 10 municipalities such as Tepecoyo, Sacacoyo, Ciudad Arce and San José Villanueva.
The modern market is also being built in Colón, two sports centers, one in Tepecoyo and the other in Nuevo Cuscatlán, and a modern Kindergarten was delivered earlier this year in Puerto de La Libertad.
Two years after its creation, the DOM has a territorial presence in the 262 municipalities of the country with different types of infrastructure works, road improvements and the National Patching Plan with which the lives of thousands of Salvadorans are being changed.
